Through our new open call: ART/WORK, Block 336 in conjunction with the Finnish Institute in London and ARTQUEST, have selected the artist Anu Suhonen (currently living in Finland) for a 5 week residency that will culminate in the production and exhibition of a site-specific new piece that will directly reflect the theme of ‘work’.

Coinciding with the conclusion of Finland’s two-year ‘social experiment’ to provide a universal basic income, Block 336 will provide their large-scale exhibition space for the artist to develop new work, reflecting on themes around, ‘work’, ‘pay’ and ‘labour’.

This is a new, international opportunity that is fully funded. The recipient will receive:

Return flights
Accommodation in Central London for the period
A materials budget, £2,000
Stipend, £2,500
Artist fee, £1,200
A public exhibition

This project is kindly supported by the Arts Council England, the Finnish Institute in London and Artquest.
